Text-Link 11-16

What it is

Text-Link is a regularly updated database to put on your school Intranet so that pupils can access it individually on a home/school computer or during class time with an interactive whiteboard. It is a gateway to high-quality free-to-access digital learning resources for French, German and Spanish learners. It is a fun way of motivating your pupils and supporting their learning, it includes topic based online audio extracts, interactive vocabulary games, grammar exercises, multiple choice quizzes, downloadable worksheets etc.

Text-Link gives you access to sites that have been vetted and chosen to suit your pupils’ learning. We have selected:

• sites that pupils can access for between just five to fifteen minutes during a lesson
• sites that pupils can access at home for grammar, vocabulary or topic revision or consolidation
• sites that are suitable for whole class work with the interactive whiteboard

For each site we provide you with a summary of the content and instructions for how to use it.

How it works

Subscribe for 12 months and we will send you a password to access it directly from our Website. As you know the Internet changes quickly, so Text-Link is checked, updated and new links added regularly during your subscription year. Your year’s licence entitles you to give the access details to your students and staff so that they can access it from any computer.

Why you need it

All young people love using the Internet. What better way to motivate their learning and revision than giving them the chance to access Websites in French that enhance their learning while still being fun and accessible? Text-Link identifies sites that your students can access as a ‘treat’ when they have finished their work in class and have a few minutes spare, or as homework for them to access in their own time or during the holidays.

How much it costs

The following prices are for subscriptions taken out from January 2008:
